On Thursday, the Junior Syndicate was lucky enough to go to The International Antarctic Centre! The Children of Room 6 were very excited all week to learn more about Antarctica and especially penguins!
Take a look at what we got up to!
Room 6 had lots of fun in The Snow Room. We learnt how cold it is in Antarctica...and we felt it too! We had super warm jackets on to keep us warm, but it was still freezing!
Dion discovered that it was -13 Degrees when we were in there, brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!
We had fun exploring all over the Antarctic Centre and learning new things about Antarctica! We got to see some real live penguins! The penguins we saw were injured and we learned that they can't survive in the wild.
We also learned lots about The Emperor Penguin.
Did you know that he is the biggest penguin of all?
Lucas and Logan had fun learning about seals and got to see inside a pretend seals mouth and look at the teeth! They learned that they need sharp teeth so that they can eat penguins to survive.

Wow! Love your photos Room 6!
